Before we get into cobs I just wanted to share this physics-defying field goal kick. I’m pretty sure we’ll never see something like ever again.
Sparty lost to Rutgers. They committed 7(!) turnovers. I don’t think anything else needs to be said.
Instead of running out the clock, James Franklin and the Nittany Lions scored a TD to put themselves up 8 points. This left the Hoosiers with plenty of time to drive down the field tp tie the game and force overtime. I think we all know how the rest of it goes but none of this happens if clock management is done correctly.
Coming in the clutch again to handle Auburn another victory.
Auburn catches another huge break as the kickoff looks like it hits Shaun Shivers’ pinky and rolls into the endzone. It is called a touchback and replay does not review. #AUBvsMISS pic.twitter.com/IprB4MzICy— Bad Sports Refs (@BadSportsRefs) October 24, 2020
NC State Tight End Dylan Parham
This is something you just can’t afford to do against your in-state rivals. The Wolfpack ended up losing big to the Tarheels.

Boise State Punter Joel Velazquez
A punter’s worst nightmare...one of their punts going for -38 yards.
This, folks, is a punt of -38 yards for Boise State. pic.twitter.com/phIAoo8Ruh— The Comeback (@thecomeback) October 25, 2020
BYU Punter Ryan Rehkow
I don’t think this is part of BYU’s “Honor Code”.

Well there’s another great selection of cob nominations for Week 8 of College Football but unfortunately you can only pick one.
Who is your Cob Nomination for Week 8?

This is not a great look from the Gamecocks special teams.
OK, so this is really atrocious coverage but also South Carolina has some real... non-athletes on its kickoff coverage team. pic.twitter.com/1ZfFD0uvVf— Timothy Burke (@bubbaprog) October 25, 2020
Speaking of special teams...
