Nebraska Football: Two Huskers Accept Invitations to Play in Senior Bowl

This is much better than the M&M’s Senior Bowl

NCAA Football: Northwestern at Nebraska Bruce Thorson-USA TODAY Sports

Unfortunately no juniors, sophomores or freshmen accepted an invite to play at the Reese’s Senior Bowl.

(crickets)

While more may be coming (looking at you Khalil Davis, Carlos Davis and Mohamed Barry) as of the date of this article both Darrion Daniels and Lamar Jackson have accepted invitations to play in the Reese’s Senior Bowl.

It is especially quite the honor since Reese’s peanut butter cups are by far the best candy out there. It isn’t even an argument so don’t waste your time in the comment section saying otherwise or else you will be banned!

It is a pretty quick turnaround as the Senior Bowl will be played on January 25th at 1:30 p.m. central time (God’s time).

The Cincinnati Bengals and Detroit Lions coaching staffs will be participating this year so it is likely that Darrion and Lamar will be Bengals for the next NFL season since former Husker quarterback great Zac Taylor is the Bengals head coach.

From the Senior Bowl website:

Last year, the Reese’s Senior Bowl produced 93 total draft picks, including 40 in the first three rounds and 10 first-round selections. That roster included rookie standouts QB Daniel Jones (Giants), QB Drew Lock (Broncos), QB Gardner Minshew (Jaguars), WR Terry McLaurin (Redskins), WR Deebo Samuel (49ers), OL Elgton Jenkins (Packers), OL Erik McCoy (Saints), DL Montez Sweat (Redskins), DB Darnell Savage (Packers).

Congrats to both Darrion and Lamar!
