My apologies for the late Flakes. Ranchhand 2’s basketball team had a big game last night. Both teams were ranked in the top five in their class in the state. Ranchhand 2’s team was undefeated and the other team’s only losses came to much bigger (and highly ranked) schools. It was set to be an exciting game.
And it was.
Ranchhand’s team (the home team) got out to an early lead, but the other team fought back and even took a small lead in the third quarter. The fourth quarter belonged to the home team as one of the younger starters (a sophomore) played some savvy basketball and scored eight points in the final frame to help secure a nine point win.
Both of these teams could possibly meet again in the conference tournament and (I believe) district tournament with a spot in the state tournament on the line.
It was so exciting that I forgot today was Wednesday, and it was my turn to do Flakes.
Have you had anything exciting enough this week to make you forget what day it was? Or is it just me?
