I have not really followed the NBA since I was in high school. For some reason, it just lost interest in the product. What was going on did not interest me in the slightest. With exception of the top tier teams, many of what was going on the court started to bore me.
Many of the teams seemed to have the talent, just not the organization to put it all together. It just started to look like a bunch of elite athletes running up and down the court, trying to make something happen. Very few of the games really held any of my interest. I really have not watched much of it since then.
During this time Kobe started to come up in the ranks. When I say “come up”, what I mean is start to put his stamp on the history of professional basketball. There was little to no transition time when he came into the NBA. He and his greatness was just, there.
A lot has happened since then to he and his career. Some of it good and some of it not so good. All in all he will be missed along with the other passengers on that flight. It was a very somber Sunday across the nation.
Enjoy your week folks and eat your Flakes.
