Maybe we don’t want more Indiana after all...

The Indiana Hoosiers came to town for round two in men’s basketball and left with a win, this time in regulation. IU scored first blood, but it was a back and forth affair until a three-pointer from Thorir Thorbjarnarson with 13:37 left in the first gave the Huskers the lead and kicked off a 9-0 run for the Huskers. Indiana managed to battle back and take the lead going into the locker room up 46-41.

The second half started out on a cold streak for the Huskers. Indiana came out hot and built up a big lead, 19 points at one time, that proved insurmountable by a late Nebraska rally. Overall the Hoosiers were 8-26 from three while the Huskers were 9-30. Cam Mack led the team with 20 points, while also dishing out a team high 9 assists.

Next to Cam was Thorir Thorbjarnarson with 13 points, a team high of 9 rebounds, and 3 assists on the night. Another good night for the Icelander, even in a loss.

As a team the Huskers shot 39% from the field versus Indiana’s 50.8%. Those stats alone tell you the difference between a winning team and a losing one. Nebraska did for once win the free throw battle going 15-22 where Indiana went 12-20. An area the Huskers have struggled at all season.

The Huskers play Wisconsin on Tuesday, January 21st in Madison at 8pm on BTN. The Bagers are 11-7 and are also coming off a loss. This one was to Michigan State 55-67 on Friday.
