Reported first by Brody Miller, who is the LSU beat reporter for The Athletic.
#LSU receivers coach Mickey Joseph has turned down an offer to become Nebraska's passing game coordinator and associate head coach, sources tell @TheAthletic.

Mickey Joseph played Quarterback at Nebraska from 1988 - 1991. In 1990, as a starter he lead Nebraska to a 9-2 record. That was then.
This is now.
Now he is the wide receivers coach for the National Champion LSU Tigers.
The report was seconded by Sam McKewon of the Omaha World Herald.
Report: A former #Huskers QB turned down a lucrative job offer at Nebraska to be co-OC and WRs coach. https://t.co/f1P0jAw0KF #huskers

The elephant in the room however, is that there are currently no job openings on the staff. Also there is already somebody (Troy Walters) who is the current wide receivers coach at Nebraska as well as the “offensive coordinator.”
It would be quite the story if Troy Walters ends up coming back to Nebraska. At this point, I expect that he is not expecting to be on the staff and may already have another job lined up.
Confirmation here that Nebraska sought to hire ex-Husker QB Mickey Joseph away from LSU. He turned Nebraska down. Important in this: The Huskers offered a job for an offensive position that isn’t officially open. https://t.co/WnWtrzRQeq

One thing is clear. Scott Frost is not resting on his laurels.
Sit tight my friends.
[Update - Jon - 11:48 AM]
Told by three sources Nebraska never offered a job to Mickey Joseph. One source earlier this week told me the parties hadn’t had contact of any sort. ‘Tis the season.

WHAT! WHAT?
All these semantics, perhaps. Never offered a job to Joseph. Maybe it was offered to his agent. Maybe it was never offered. Maybe Troy Walters isn’t going anywhere. Maybe something entirely different will happen.
Wooooo!
