Do you have any holiday travel plans?

It’s been quite the week already, and it’s only Thursday. Though the exciting news was my parents celebrated 41 years together yesterday. And now it’s almost another holiday weekend. Do you have any plans for it, or at least get MLK day off on Monday?

We were supposed to be traveling for it, but given my new job, we cancelled the plans a few weeks ago (benefit of using Southwest rewards points is you’re not obligated to the flights). It is a little disappointing, but our dog has a pulled muscle and so can’t really be boarded right now anyways so worked out for the best.

Anyways, onto the Flakes!

Beagle Corner

We’ve been loving finally having a car, even if Taylor hates it, because it lets us take her out to some great parks in the area to enjoy all the smells she can find with that Beagle nose.

The National Arboretum has been our go to as it’s right down the road from us and has all kinds of areas to explore each visit with her.

She enjoyed Roosevelt Island as well, though not so much the longer car trip.
