RJ Sorenson, 6-4 230lb three star defensive end from Fort Lauderdale, FL has committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers! This 2021 recruit was at the Big Red Barbecue in June on an unofficial visit. RJ was offered by Nebraska after he was evaluated by the dieticians and performance staff in the frame test. His interest in Nebraska stems from his father, who is a Nebraska native. He wasted little time, getting the decision out of the way so he could concentrate on the upcoming season.
RJ has been described by his coaches as an unrelenting pass rusher and run stopper. They praised his work ethic and motor. This is a developmental project for the coaching staff, something they have shown a preference for in the past. Find the prospect with the long lean frame to build good weight on, look for the work ethic, and get on him early in the recruiting process. There’s lots of potential here to be unlocked.
