Offensive coordinator Troy Walters announced after practice today that two Huskers have been suspended indefinitely. This is not just a game suspension, they are suspended from all team activities.

Wide receiver Andre Hunt and tight end Katerian Legrone are both redshirt freshman and both received a number of mentions by the coaching staff during spring football. When the depth chart came out earlier this week, both were missing. In the article, I mentioned those omissions (especially Hunt) were a little bit surprising. I guess this announcement explains why they were not on the depth chart.

No final decision was announced in regards to Maurice Washington’s status with the team. Earlier in the week, Scott Frost has indicated that the decision is being made outside of the coaching staff (implying university officials and/or athletic administration to me). It appears that whichever direction(s) the legal process in California proceeds, will provide the information needed for the decision on Mo.
