Sevion Morrison, 5-11 196lb three star running back from Tulsa Oklahoma has committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers! Sevion chose Nebraska over Arkansas, their Kansas, Baylor, Washington, Missouri, and several other FBS teams. The Husker coaching staff hosted him in June for an official visit, and were the leaders in his recruitment from that point forward. However, Wisconsin just offered him, and he’s said he will take an official visit to Madison this fall. Additionally, Oklahoma has not offered him. These points might be something to watch going forward, as this doesn’t seem to be over.
Morrison is yet another example of the versatile, multipurpose athlete so coveted by the coaching staff. He is a prospect for both running back and wide receiver, the ever-exciting Duck R position. As a runner, he has a great cutback and a nose for the open field. Once the first defender misses, his long stride just carries him away from anyone in the secondary. These long stride runners always fool me. They never seem to be moving that fast, but somehow no one else can ever catch up. At the line of scrimmage, he is also good at being patient and following his blockers. As a receiver, he does a great job of catching in stride and extending the play. He has enough height to go up after the 50-50 balls and come down with them as well. I liked all his film.
As you can see, RB Sevion Morrison of Tulsa (Okla.) Edison has committed to Nebraska. He’s the fourth offensive skill player of the Huskers’ nine commitments for 2020. Morrison, 5-11 and 196 pounds, rushed for 263 yards per game as a junior. pic.twitter.com/IUi7TKNXig
