Friday Flakes: Frost Did Not Put Nebraska In His Top 25

Amen I say to you! Amen!

For those who haven’t noticed, I have spent way too much time complaining about the national expectations for this upcoming season. It bothers me more than it should.

So as I sat at Scott Frost’s press conference yesterday afternoon there was a question about the USA Today’s coaching poll that was released yesterday morning. This was his response:

Yes! I wanted to give a one-person standing ovation but I they started publishing video of the reporters and if I would have done that then my employment here at Corn Nation might have been over.

Still, I love the fact that he didn’t put Nebraska in his top 25.

They wouldn’t be in my top 25 either. Got to go earn it now.

The preseason poll was released on Thursday and the Huskers just missed out on the top 25. Nebraska topped the receiving votes category with 152 points. Ohio State was the top-ranked Big Ten team at No. 5 followed by No. 7 Michigan, No. 14 Penn State, No. 17 Wisconsin, No. 19 Iowa No. 20 Michigan State and No. 25 Northwestern.
