Amen I say to you! Amen!

Big Ten Football Media Days

For those who haven’t noticed, I have spent way too much time complaining about the national expectations for this upcoming season. It bothers me more than it should.

So as I sat at Scott Frost’s press conference yesterday afternoon there was a question about the USA Today’s coaching poll that was released yesterday morning. This was his response:

Yes! I wanted to give a one-person standing ovation but I they started publishing video of the reporters and if I would have done that then my employment here at Corn Nation might have been over.

Still, I love the fact that he didn’t put Nebraska in his top 25.

They wouldn’t be in my top 25 either. Got to go earn it now.

What we learned at Thursday's pre-camp Husker presser
Before this month we are now trekking through is over, Nebraska will have played an actual football game.

Feels kind of good to just read and say, doesn't it? The teasing is almost over, and Thursday felt like a step closer to something real as Scott Frost and about 10 players showed up to preview fall camp.

Being a lover of ocean shores, it is not in my nature to fear the beach, but society has devised a long list of concerns, many of them reasonable: jellyfish, sharks, bad burns, the tyranny of people who bring their speakers. Now we might add feces to that list.
