I’ve made lots of stupid and silly mistakes during my travels. One of them finally came back to haunt me. I lost my phone Thursday night after stepping on the wrong bus which I thought was going to the main bus station in Bogota. I put my phone down on a seat and forgot to grab it when I stepped off and the bus drove away with it.
I noticed pretty much right away and I was went to the police at a nearby metro station to report the incident. They managed to call my phone and eventually a lady picked up. The police ended up organizing a meet up the following afternoon where I would meet here in front of the National Museum.
What followed was a series of miscommunications. I was expecting the police officer to be at the meetup to help assist with the reunion of my phone. He wasn’t which was a problem. Looking back I should have my host call the police officer and the lady with my phone to clarify everything.
I ended up for waiting for 30 minutes before finding two police officers nearby. They spoke with the officer from last night and then called my phone again. The lady picked up but she wasn’t at the meetup spot. She had left a while ago and didn’t plan on coming back.
The police officer and myself have repeatedly tried calling since Friday afternoon but there has been no answer. The phone is still ringing but my assumption it is on silent in a drawer or cabinet somewhere. It looks like I will have to get a new phone.

To determine which airports offer the most frequent deals on international flights—and which major airports offer the least—we looked at commercial international airports in metro areas with a population of at least one million people, and collected data on how many deals we sent to Scott’s Cheap Flights members for cheap flights departing from each airport in the past year. Here are the results. *I highly recommend signing up for flight alerts from Scott’s Cheap Flights*
Many who travel to France bring a few bottles home so they can savor the fading memories of their holiday even in the grey British drizzle. However, passengers have been shocked by strict new rules on the Eurostar which prohibit those on board from bringing back more than one bottle of wine while banning spirits altogether. *I think this is pretty pathetic move by Eurostar*
