It was announced today that Nebraska will play Washington State in the Cayman Islands Classic this Upcoming Season. The game will take place on November 25th at 7:30pm EST. This will be the fourth and final game of the day.
If Nebraska wins they will play on November 26th at 7:30pm EST. If they lose to Washington State then they will play at 5:00pm EST on the 26th in the losers bracket. They will play the winner or loser of the George Mason Old Dominion game.
This will be a fun match up as current Husker Athletic Director Bill Moos not only went to Wazzu but also was previously their AD. I am guessing that the winner of this game will have bragging rights among Bill and his friends.
The Cayman Islands Classic first started in 2017 and is played in the John Gray Gymnasium. it is sponsored by the Mountain West Conference and thus teams from the conference will be represented. This year it is Colorado State. Last years winner was South Dakota State.
Excited to announce the brackets for the third annual #CaymanIslandsClassic on Nov. 25-27th in paradise, #CaymanIslands @MasonMBB @RamblersMBB @HuskerHoops @CSUMBasketball @ODUMensHoops @NMStateMBB @USFMBB @WSUMensHoops #CaymanClassic see you there! pic.twitter.com/Ei2yQ9Ckly
