According to 10/11 Now, Nebraska freshman wide receiver/all-around high touted athlete Wan’Dale Robinson has been cited for possession of marijuana.
According to the Omaha World Herald’s Sam McKewon the athletic department “is aware of the situation and are addressing it.”
This follows a few days after Maurice Washington’s drug paraphernalia citation.
The incoming freshman was expected to play a significant role in the Husker offense this fall as an all-purpose back (the ‘Duck R’ back) catching and running the ball.
We will wait and see what Head Coach Scott Frost says and does in the coming days related to both Washington and Robinson. During spring football Maurice Washington faced charges in California related to a sexually explicit video he sent to an ex-girlfriend and did remain with the team, albeit in a very limited role. This charge is Robinson’s “first strike”.
Let’s hope it is his last one too.
