Was it the right decision?

Last week we couldn’t meet up to record the podcast together because Patrick was out of the state and our schedules couldn’t line up. Instead, we talked about AAU basketball at separate times and pieced it together.

BUT, we are both back this week as we were finally able to record together and a ton has happened since the last time.

Just to happen to be, however, that Isaiah Roby announced that he will forgo his senior season and elect to stay in the NBA Draft about two hours before we recorded so we had to scrap parts of our plans and spend a lot of time on his decision.

Do you think it was the right decision? Let us know.

Then after talking Roby’s decision we finally get to comment on the two most recent additions to Coach Fred Hoiberg’s staff.

First, we go back and forth on Derrick Walker, who is a transfer from Tennessee. Tennessee was in the running for a number #1 seed in last year’s NCAA tournament.

Second, we talk about 2019’s Mr. Ohio Basketball who committed to Nebraska on May 15th. The kid averaged 35 points per game his senior year in high school. How come it hasn’t been a bigger deal to Husker fans?

Third, we talk about the prospect of being able to buy a beer in Pinnacle Bank Arena for a Nebraska basketball game.

Finally, at the end I finish my story from Italy. Last week’s episode I left a little cliff hanger which resulted in this response from The Five Heart Podcast.

As always thanks for listening! We appreciate all of you.

Follow us at @BangsAndDags. We are currently being followed by Mr. Kent Pavelka. We plan on tweeting more from the account particularly during the season. Maybe start live tweeting the games if that is something we think you all would enjoy.

If you have any topics you would like us to talk about or maybe questions you would like us to, “Who would win in a fight Fred Hoiberg or Iron Man?” then definitely send it to us. Or maybe you want to tell us how we are wrong then don’t hesitate to let us know.

Regardless, if you are listening then we’d love to get to you know you. If you listen to us then you probably love Nebraska basketball, and so do we. So we at least have that in common. Everything else is just gravy.
