The Nebraska baseball team (31-22, 15-9 Big Ten) was selected to play in the NCAA Tournament in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Monday. The regional which is hosted by Oklahoma State has the Huskers matching up against the University of Connecticut on Friday afternoon.
Oklahoma State is hosting this regional in Oklahoma City due to the amount of rain that has fallen in the state of Oklahoma.
The Huskers earned the third seed in the regional and face off against UConn at noon on Friday afternoon. The other side of the bracket sees the fourth seed Harvard facing the host Oklahoma State.
A quick preview of UConn shows the potential for a good matchup against the Huskers. The Huskies having a star closer in Jacob Wallace and a solid offense. They finished fifth in the American Athletic Conference, eight games behind league winner East Carolina.
The winner of the Oklahoma State regional will face off against the winner of the Texas Tech hosted Lubbock regional.
