It is championship Sunday! Nebraska has an opponent in the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Buckeyes defeated the Minnesota Golden Gophers 8-6 in an elimination game that finished when Ohio State closer Andrew Magno clinched the win for the Buckeyes with a seven out save.

Matt Waldron gets the surprise start for the Huskers. Darin Erstad said that Waldron was done after throwing on Wednesday against Minnesota, but the Husker skipper has changed his mind. Waldron might be on a pitch count, especially with the Huskers being guaranteed of being in a regional next week.

Griffan Smith gets his second start of the week for Ohio State. Smith threw 110 pitches in Ohio States win over Maryland. Smith should be on a pitch count and is a lefty. Nebraska has put in Mojo Hagge to lead off against the lefty in an interesting choice.
