The Nebraska baseball team (28-20, 15-9 Big Ten) begins postseason play this week as they travel to Omaha for the Big Ten Tournament at TD Ameritrade Park. Matt Waldron and Patrick Fredrickson will get the ball for the Gophers.
Nebraska will miss Minnesota ace Max Meyer as he is unavailable to pitch due to an ankle injury. Instead, Nebraska gets to face off against Fredrickson. Nebraska roughed up Fredrickson in the Huskers only win over the Golden Gophers earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Matt Waldron gets another crack at the Minnesota lineup. Waldron got a no decision when he threw eight innings of two run baseball back on Friday, March 29th.
