It is the biggest game of the year for the Nebraska baseball team. The Huskers (25-19,13-8 Big Ten) play for the series against Arizona State (35-13, 14-10 Pac-12). Nebraska won yesterday 2-1 after losing the opener 15-6.
The Huskers gained ground in their hopes of being a NCAA Tournament team with a win yesterday. As of this morning, the Huskers have a RPI of 42. Nebraska with a win today would move into the top 40 in RPI.
After a gem from the pitching staff yesterday, Nebraska will send out Reece Eddins to the mound. Eddins picked up a win last weekend, when he allowed only one run against a surging Northwestern team.
The Sun Devils have not named a starter for the finale. Arizona State is expected to use multiple arms out of their bullpen.
