A 56 year streak comes to an end

The 2019 NFL Draft is complete and not a single Husker heard their name called.

There were two Huskers that had legitimate shots at being drafted in Stanley Morgan Jr. and Devine Ozigbo and two more that were getting draft whispers in Luke Gifford and Tanner Farmer.

Unfortunately for Nebraska fans, we will have to wait a little longer to see where our favorite players are headed in the next phase of their football careers. It is likely that most (or all) of the above players will find their way into an NFL camp as an undrafted free agent.

We’ll keep you updated as we get confirmation on the destinations of Nebraska players.

Jon: So here we are, friends, near the bottom of the barrel in terms of Nebraska football success. It’s sad when streaks end... but this one has exactly zero bearing on the future. It can tell us a bit about where we are, but that’s about it.

I wouldn’t spend much time or worry on this one. And I wouldn’t shirk from other fans who may have had two tight ends taken in the first round but still couldn’t win a division.

Focus on the future. It’ll be fine. And fun!
