The Nebraska baseball team welcomes the Illinois Illini to Hawks Field for a key Big Ten series. Nebraska sits in second place, just .017 percentage points behind Indiana coming into Friday’s games.
Illinois comes into the game on a hot streak, winning their last four games. Last weekend Illinois swept Penn State to get back to .500 in league play. The Illini only beat Penn State by a run in each of the three games of the series.
Nebraska will face a team with dangerous hitters. Grant Van Scoy and Zac Taylor both hit over .350. Michael Massey is another big bat who has batted .343 this season. Taylor leads the Illini with six home runs.
#Illini lineup. @JYalo_13 will be in #22 tonight due to lost luggage.
