The Nebraska Baseball team (12-7, 3-0 Big Ten) travels to Minneapolis, Minnesota to take on the Golden Gophers of Minnesota (9-13, 3-0 Big Ten). Nebraska and Minnesota meet this weekend with first place on the line as both teams are undefeated after the first weekend of Big Ten play.
Nebraska appears to have found a starting rotation as they will throw the same three weekend starters for the second consecutive week in a row. Matt Waldron gets the start Friday night followed by Nate Fisher and Reece Eddins on Saturday and Sunday.
Minnesota will send All-American Max Meyer to the mound to face off against Waldron. Reigning Big Ten Freshman of the Year Patrick Fredrickson faces off against Fisher on Saturday. Joshua Culliver will start the third game of the series.
Minnesota has played one of the most difficult schedules in the nation so far this year. Minnesota has a record four games below .500 but is on a four game win streak. The Gophers swept Penn State last weekend to open Big Ten play.
