NCAA Basketball: Iowa at Nebraska Bruce Thorson-USA TODAY Sports

Iowa should have won.

The game was in their hands. They had the lead, momentum, and talent to pull this off. But they didn’t.

Tim Miles and his squad pulled off one last win before the Big Ten Conference Tournament in Chicago. There they will play Rutgers in the first round on Wednesday. Nebraska isn’t at the bottom of the conference. That honor goes to Northwestern. You know, the team that broke their NCAA Tournament appearance streak a couple of seasons ago?

Nebraska is sitting 16-15 on the season with a 6-14 conference schedule. They have a NET ranking of 52. NET, for those of you not following at home, is the new ranking system the NCAA is using in place of the RPI. Even with this second half collapse, Nebraska is still sitting high.

Will that be enough for an NCAA Tournament bid? I doubt it. You still have the eye test that I think will be utilized when you are looking at teams deserving to be in.

Beat Rutgers...

Anyway, on to flakes...
