It was a good day for Penn State. They won the Big Ten wrestling championship. It was not a good day for Nebraska, who started third and finished fifth.
Nebraska placed two wrestlers, Chad Red and Tyler Berger, into the final, but neither were able to win their matches. Berger was dominated 12-4 by Penn State’s Jason Nolf. Chad Red was dominated by Joey McKenna from Ohio State.
In other surprise, Penn State’s Anthony Cassar beat Minnesota Gable Steveson for the 285 pound heavyweight title. That’s Cassar in the home photo for this article.
