The Big 12 is back! Just for one night as the Nebraska baseball team (3-5) takes on the Red Raiders of Texas Tech in the second game of the 2019 Frisco College Classic. Mississippi State rallied past Sam Houston State in the afternoon game, winning 5-4.
Nebraska will send out Matt Waldron for his first start of the season. Waldron has been one of the Huskers most consistent pitchers in the early part of the 2019 season. Matt and his brother Mike have combined to throw 16 innings while allowing only five runs, while striking out 23 combined.

Of note for the Huskers, Carter Cross has worked his way into a starting spot, getting the nod in left field for the night. Cross playing, means Mojo Hagge is out of the lineup tonight, as Luke Roskam will DH for the Huskers.
With Roskam at DH, and Gunner Hellstrom at catcher, first base tonight goes to Colby Gomes, with Jaxon Hallmark playing second.
