Hot on the foot of Nebrasketball’s latest collapse, the football coaches took to Twitter Wednesday night to applaud Nebraska fans for their continued commitment and passion for the football program.
With spring game tickets only going on sale to the public that morning at 10am, Nebraska had already sold eighty-thousand tickets.
Eighty. Thousand. In 36 hours.
For a practice! At roughly $10 a ticket, we basically just paid Chinander for a year, y’all!
Was just informed that @HuskerFBNation has sold 80,000 tickets for spring game April 13th. Tickets went on sale at 10am today. There are no fans like #GBR fans. pic.twitter.com/56pq07Mdqz

Of course, not *just* Nebraska fans are impressed by this.
Iowa fans are also really excited!
They’re even wishing Nebraska, their second favorite team behind Iowa State, good luck in the coming season!
Maybe you’ll be able to sell bowl game tickets some day

Here’s one who is really impressed that Nebraska fans stick together in all kinds of weather, a decidedly un-Iowa thing to do, I guess!
The one game NE fans know they’ll win this year... can’t blame them for wanting to see it

Another one who is really excited for a Nebraska win!
Nobody wants to miss their only chance to see a home win. https://t.co/YnwSFEiih8

It’s really amazing how Iowa fans can take a moment out of basking in the glory of a 9-4 season and win over Mississippi State to worry about losing their winning streaks in February. Don’t worry guys, you’ve got a few more months to go! (These guys really like the Cyclones. No wonder we’re not rivals.)
In the meantime, we'll have to try to live with the shame of not losing to either of them in more than 1500 days. https://t.co/SLvNUYERma

This Iowa fan is confused about Nebraska’s history with spring games! We’ve actually sold it out several times, silly goose! (PS it’s been 36 hours, not 12!)
I’m sure they did, there isn’t anything to do in Nebraska. They sold their spring game out last year too, how did that work out for you?

Isn’t it great that Iowa fans care so much?
What are we going to do with this rent money?
I’d say we could return the favor and buy tickets to Iowa’s game, but it’s free, and with less than ten thousand taking in last season’s “game”, I’m guessing there’s no hurry.
By Thursday night, only obstructed view seats remained. And now... even those are gone.
Spring Games at Nebraska are on another level.

SOLD. OUT.#GBR pic.twitter.com/OXQHmv9qk3
Anyways, you should have gone ahead and bought your tickets so you don’t have to deal with the scalpers. They probably root for Iowa and go to Creighton.
Go Big Red!
