Who is going to be bigger, faster, and stronger? Everyone! It’s spring football!!!

NCAA Football: Minnesota at Nebraska Bruce Thorson-USA TODAY Sports

Who is going to be our walk-on heartthrob circa 2019?

Who is going to see the writing on the wall and decide to transfer out to greener pastures?

Who is going to be bigger, faster, stronger and seeing the field way better than last year?

We don’t know the answers yet, but we now have the dates for spring practices and which ones will include remarks from the coaching staff. Before, during and after all of these we will make our own wild, unjustified speculations related to the above questions.

(Actually, the third one is a trick question because you KNOW the answer to that will be EVERYONE!)

Spring practices will start in the morning on March 4 and continue through the spring game on April 13. Most of the practices will not include media access, but I’m sure that won’t stop information from getting out and circulating.

  • Monday, March 4
  • March 5 - no practice but there will be a press conference starting at 11:30 am with players and continue through 1:30 pm with coaches.
  • March 6
  • Thursday, March 7 - Pro Day - Devine Ozigbo gets to take out his frustrations on not being invited to the Combine
  • March 8
  • March 11 - the offensive assistant coaches will talk with the media after practice (approximately 11 am)
  • Wednesday, March 13 - watch your Twitters from around 8:15 to 8:45 as the first 30 minutes of practice will be open to the media. Press conference with the Coach Frost and the defensive assistant coaches to follow at approximately 11 am.
