Coach Fred Hoiberg announced this afternoon that Jervay Green has been reinstated to the team, and will play tomorrow when our Nebraska Cornhuskers host the North Dakota Fighting Hawks. Green will not start, but will come off the bench.
It was announced last Friday, December 13th that Green was suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules. He had traveled to Bloomington with the team, but sat on the bench for the Friday night game against the Indiana Hoosiers, and again this past Sunday against the Purdue Boilermakers.
Green started all nine games this season prior to his suspension. He is averaging 10.3 points per game, fourth best on the team, while shooting 29.4% from three point range. He has been averaging 31.4 minutes per game. Green is also tied as the third best rebounder on the team with 4.9 per game.
