After months of coaching hires, roster rebuilds, and a trip to Italy, here we are. It’s a new season with what is literally a new team. From top to bottom minus a couple key players, this is going to be brand new to all of us.
It’s opening night for the Fred Hoiberg era at Nebraska. There will be growing pains. Even assistant coach and former Husker head coach Doc Saddler stated so in a tweet this morning.
I am excited to be working for coach Hoiberg in my 38 years of coaching. Fans be patient coach is going to do some great things here but after going on a trip this summer I was reminded Rome wasn’t built in a day. #GBR #Huskers

Patience is what Nebrasketball fans have. We had it with Doc and Miles. We can wait for greatness with Fred too. For many, this will be the first time seeing this squad. Hopefully they perform well or at least show us glimpses of greatness to get us through the year.
No matter what happens, let’s hope for at least a win.
Also, the Corn Nation Nebrasketball crew has always kept it clean and polite in the comments. Even in our darkest losses did we keep our composure for the most part. Let’s do it again this year folks. I haven’t banned anyone on a Nebrasketball thread and I don’t want to start now.
