Sit back and enjoy folks. It’s Fred Hoiberg’s chance to make Nebrasketball into something special.

After months of waiting, Nebrasketball is finally here.

Starting tomorrow the Fred Hoiberg era wills start in Pinnacle Bank Arena. There, his brand spanking new Husker squad will take on UC Riverside. We will have a chance to watch or listen and finally see what this team will have in store for us this season.

They’re young and old, experienced and green. Very few have had a good take on what this team will be like this year. I do think there is universal belief that there will be growing pains as the season moves on. Hopefully, unlike the football team, this band of merry young men will progress upward as the season moves along.

I’m not expecting a high placement in the conference or even a post season birth. Just progress that leads Nebrasketball to bigger and better things down the road.

Fred is starting from scratch and like many of us who follow Nebrasketball, we know what comes along with that.

Be patient and good things should come from Fred’s teams.
