Week 11 Cobs: A Shocking Blowout and Crazy Comeback

College football was extra crazy last weekend.

An egregious error, special teams mayhem and a crazy comeback. Let’s check out this week’s cob nominations.

Michigan State

Sparty was up 28-3 against Illinois and held a 31-10 lead going into the 4th quarter. Then everything completely fell apart. Sparty No! Illinois completed their biggest comeback in school history.

Arkansas

After losing the previous week to the Florida Atlantic Owls, Western Kentucky flew into Fayetteville and completely smoked the Razorbacks 45-19. The loss was so bad that Arkansas fired their head football coach, Chad Morris, the next day.

Baylor Special Teams

This squib kick led to this debacle.

They ended up avoiding more embarrassment in overtime and took home the win because the TCU player stepped out of bounds...barely.

South Carolina’s final play

The ‘Cocks beat themselves. They have one final play to avoid an upset against Appalachian State but it went all wrong.

Pac 12 refs

I can’t find any clips of this ‘mechanical error’ but I did find this statement from the Pac 12. Completely inexcusable for this to happen.

There are too many crazy cob nominations in Week 11 of College Football but unfortunately you can only pick one.
