Nebraska Volleyball Weekend Preview vs Rutgers and Penn State

The #8 Huskers host the Scarlet Knights and #7 Nittany Lions in a big weekend for the Big Red

It is a great weekend for Husker volleyball fans as both matches will be accessible on TV!

Nebraska vs Rutgers

Friday, November 1 at 7 pm

The match that will be televised on NET and streamed on FoxSports.com and the Fox Sports app.

Nebraska vs Penn State

Saturday, November 2, 7:30 pm

TV coverage will be on BTN, FoxSports.com and the Fox Sports app.

Both matches can be heard on Husker Sports Network radio affiliates, including 107.3 FM in Lincoln and 105.9 FM in Omaha. A live audio stream will be provided at Huskers.com and also on the official Huskers app.

Series History

  • Nebraska is 7-1 all-time against Rutgers and defeated the Scarlet Knights 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-14) on Oct. 2 in New Brunswick, N.J.

About the Huskers

Nebraska has the No. 2 offensive (.280) and No. 1 defensive (.150) marks in the Big Ten during conference play. The Huskers also lead all Big Ten teams in kills (14.24 per set) and assists (13.35 per set).

Individual statistical leaders for Nebraska include Lexi Sun who leads the Huskers with 3.54 kills per set and is hitting .286 on the season. All-America middle blocker Lauren Stivrins averages 2.64 kills and 1.06 blocks per set while hitting a team-best .395 this season. She has a Big Ten-leading .466 hitting percentage in conference play. Nicklin Hames provides 10.77 assists per set and 2.77 digs per set. She has nine double-doubles on the season, and in conference play she is second in the Big Ten in assists per set at 11.57. Callie Schwarzenbach leads the team in blocks at 1.09 per set. Freshman libero Kenzie Knuckles is leading the Huskers in digs with 3.78 per set this season.
