Defensive Back Ronald Delancey III is N!

Miami Native Flips from Louisville

#All’N

Great news from the land of Jorts!

Ronald Delancy III has announced his commitment to the Nebraska Cornhuskers! This 5-11 160lb three star defensive back was a Louisville commit since last February. He made official visits to both Louisville and Nebraska in September. The visits gave him much to contrast and compare, and he eventually decommitted from Louisville. Today he pulled the trigger for Nebraska. Louisville, Washington State and Missouri were the other top offers on his sheet.

The first thing you notice about Ronald’s film is that he’s not afraid of contact. His physical style of play is prized by Coach Fisher. This next you’ll see is speed. He runs down backs from the opposite side of the field. This also allows him to play a bit soft, keeping everything in front of him, then run up to break up the checkdown pass. Field vision is also evident. Good angles were taken to pursue running backs and break up passes. There’s a lot to like here. This is a player who has really come on in his senior season. Personally I think he’s a bit underrated as a low three star, but Miami has such a plethora of speedy skill players, it happens a fair bit in those areas.

Delancey is the 13th commit in the 2020 recruiting class, and moves it to 29th overall. This class is climbing steadily in the rankings. Welcome to the Husker family, Ronald! GBR!
