Bad coaching, a special teams debacle and a really dirty hit were all nominated for Cobs.

Week 6 of college football was filled with plenty of shenanigans and boneheaded plays. Let’s check out football this week’s cob nominations.

Iowa-Michigan game

It wasn’t a fun game to watch.

Troy Defensive Lineman Travis Sailo

Despite being down 28, it didn’t stop him from going for a dirty hit to the left knee of Kelly Bryant as he threw a touchdown pass. The former Clemson QB was out for the rest of the game.

SMU Special Teams

What are they doing here? Thankfully they still managed to win in triple OT against Tulsa to stay undefeated.

Chip Kelly

After coaching his team to an epic comeback over Washington State, Chip Kelly and UCLA made some costly mistakes in the first quarter at home against Oregon State. It ended up costing the Bruins dearly in a 48-31 loss to the Beavers.

Adam Rittenberg

This Northwestern alum was a bit salty after the Nebraska win.

Do you think his apology is enough?

There were some great cob nominations in Week 6 of the College Football Season but unfortunately you can only pick one.
