Husker women getting no love in the Preseason AP Poll

The Big Ten got lots of love in the Preseason AP Top 25 Poll, but none for our Husker women. Five Big Ten teams are ranked, and two more received votes. Maryland leads the conference coming in at 4th place. You can see the full poll below. UConn extended its top 5 streak to 239 straight weeks, and Oregon is #1 for the first time in the poll’s history. The evil ACC leads the country with 6 ranked teams.

Nebraska finished last season 14-16 (9-9) and ended their season at the Big Ten Tournament as a 6 seed after a four point loss to 11 seed Purdue in their first game on Thursday of the tournament.

Season Schedule

The Husker women kick off their season with an exhibition game this Saturday at PBA against Rogers State at 4 pm CT. Their season opens next Wednesday night, November 6th against Alabama A&M. Full season schedule is below, but please bare in mind that I live in the eastern time zone, so the times naturally reflect that on my graphic.
