NCAA Football: Nebraska at Minnesota Jesse Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

I think we can all say that we thought we were past this issue but maybe not. I just know that the Minnesota game made it look like a team that gave up.

Maybe only some of the players gave up. Which might be why Coach Frost said that some of the younger players are fair game. It’s time to find out who wants to be here. It’s time to find out who should be here.

The incredible survival story of DeAndre Hopkins and his mom
Every time the Houston Texans play at home, DeAndre Hopkins' mother, Sabrina Greenlee, sits in the same spot in the end zone, close enough to the field to hear the ball smack against the turf.

Bootle expecting better days: 'We need to want it'
Perhaps the most mysterious thing to some Huskers last Saturday night was the practices leading into the game didn't exhibit signs to them of a clunker performance upcoming. Not that you ever totally expect those games, but sometimes you see the signs.

Examining Nebraska's 2020 commitments
Nebraska heads into its bye week with 14 commitments. We know the staff plans to go on the road and visit a number of schools and catch some recruits at both practice and games this week.

What do we know about the class? Let’s take a closer look at some of the things that stand out in this class so far.

Big Ten school standing out to DL DeShawn Lynch
Folsom (Calif.) defensive lineman Deshawn Lynch has a Big Ten school sitting in a good spot for him.

"The school recruiting me the hardest has been Nebraska," said Lynch. "I’d say they're the favorite."

Behind continued stifling defense and a career night from freshman Madi Kubik, No. 5 Nebraska took down No. 20 Purdue in four sets at the Devaney Center on Wednesday.

Hot Reads: Is a 125% Decrease Bad? It Has Been for the Huskers Offense | Hail Varsity
Let's talk about Nebraska's first six plays of the season.

The Huskers won the toss in the opener against South Alabama and Scott Frost opted to take the ball, as he usually does. This was perfect. Let's get that Year 2 offense on the field and see what it can do against a five-touchdown underdog. Surely, there will be blood.

“STICK TO SPORTS!” Nah.

50 ways to be ridiculously generous — and feel ridiculously good. | Alexandra Franzen
I realized — many years ago — that when I behave generously, I feel rich. And I like to feel rich. So I choose to be generous.

But “behaving generously” doesn’t necessarily mean “donating money” or “giving away your last cookie.”

You can share knowledge freely, instead of hoarding it. You can send a hand-written note, instead of a text message. You can make eye contact, instead of checking out. You can make a life-changing introduction for a friend, instead of letting them “connect the dots” on their own.

All-Name Team!

Some of these names could be straight from the Key and Peele skit. There is even a Nebraska recruit on this list.

If you don’t know which Key and Peele skit I’m talking about well here you go. You are welcome.
