Big Ten Basketball Media Day is Upon Us

Big Ten Basketball Media Day will take place Wednesday, October 2nd in Chicago. It will start at 8:00am CST. Nebraska basketball head coach Fred Hoiberg will speak at roughly 9:40am and the event will conclude at 11:00am CST. You can watch the event on BTN and their online platforms.

Arriving at Big Ten Media Days with coach Hoiberg will be senior guard Haanif Cheatham, junior guard Jervay Green, and sophomore guard Cam Mack. All of which will be playing their first year for Nebraska.

Also of note is the Big Ten Preseason Media Poll. If you were expecting the Huskers to be ranked in a decent position then you set yourself up to be disappointed. They are picked to finish 13th out of 14. Just ahead of Northwestern and behind Rutgers.

The Huskers return just two players and one starter from last years team. They are a relatively unknown in terms of possible production for this upcoming season. I believe that most of the press members are going off the fact that they have not seen many if any of these players play.
