Crootin! Crootin! Hot Fresh Crootin heah!
Although last week’s one play, zero yard game was a dud with the fans, it was a hit with the prospects. This week, with an old foe and some unbearable tension to finally play a game of football, should have an atmosphere that is unmatched. Taking advantage of that, several top recruits are scheduled to make unofficial and official visits to Lincoln this weekend.
Jamel Starks is a three star defensive back from Decatur, GA. He has offers from NC State, Minnesota, Temple, and UCF. It’s down to us and Appalachian State. I’m seeing red, or rather, scarlet.
Michael Lynn, 3 star offensive tackle and Husker commit, is coming from Colorado to watch the boys eat some buffalo. It’s lean you know, and high in protein. He’s also onboard for a little peer recruiting.
Javin Wright is a Husker legacy, son of former Husker and NFL defensive back Toby Wright. He’s a three star defensive back with a good frame that needs some refinement. His top schools are UCLA, Arizona State, Washington, and Nebraska.
Zavier Betts, Bellevue West. A 6-2 190lb 4 star wide receiver, he is a 2020 recruit. Extremely athletic, he would be a worthy addition to the team. I like his film.
Nash Hutmacher 4 star offensive lineman from South Dakota, don’cha know. He likes jello salad with peas and pancaking defenders. 2020 guy.
Chris Hickman, Omaha Burke, 4 star tight end. The last uncommitted top recruit in the state, and Nebraska wants him. They don’t know if they want him as an outside linebacker or a tight end, they just want him. Let’s go for the clean sweep here and get the commit.
Nick Henrich, Omaha Burke, linebacker, Husker commit. He’s coming to wow the ladies with his sparse chin whiskers and keep Hickman in Nebraska.
The Super Six photo shoot is always a lot of fun for everyone involved.

Marcus Washington is a four star wide receiver out of St Louis football powerhouse Trinity Catholic. The coaching staff has struggled to get a toehold in Missouri; this might be the guy that does it. He’s an athletic phenom that’s being recruited by everyone. Before the season he was all but committed to the Buckeyes. When all the domestic violence news reared its ugly head, he completely reopened his recruitment. This would be a yuge win for the coaching staff.
Ronald Thompkins, running back and Husker commit, was scheduled to come but decided to get ACL surgery instead. UGH. This is his second ACL tear. Not good. Not good at all.
****Update Friday 1PM****
Two 2020 offensive linemen from Colorado, Carson Lee and Reece Atteberry, are making unofficial visits tomorrow. Lee is a teammate of 2019 commit Michael Lynn. They are being peer recruited by Lynn.
This is the most up to date list. One thing about this coaching staff compared to previous ones: the signal to noise ratio is very high. Every one of these guys has serious interest in Nebraska, and is a quality recruit. Hopefully I will be scrambling to knock out commit articles in the very near future! GBR!
