Week 3 Corn Nation Big Ten Power Poll

It’s Ohio State and the 13 Dwarves

Paul: After Ohio State, it’s hard to know who’s any good. I was reading a book called “The Drunkard’s Walk” this week. It’s about randomness, and it made me think about how this season has started for the Big Ten. Is our conference, top to bottom, awful? Or have the fickle gods of mathematics simply had some fun at our expense? I guess we’ll know more in a few weeks.

Jill: It stinks that Nebraska is rebuilding when the rest of the conference largely sucks.

Nate: While we love to watch Wisconsin lose, the BYU loss isn’t horrible. Imagine if they would have lost to a team like Akron...or even Troy.

Patrick: This conference is starting to make Ohio State look bad

Rick: I thought about ranking all the west division teams outside of Iowa tied for 13th, but didn’t know how it would mess up the algorithm.

Jon: Beyond OSU this conference proved very little during the non-conference part of the season and it will come back to bite them later.
