After an unexpected cancellation in their first game, the Nebraska Cornhuskers open up as a 5 point favorite in their contest against the Colorado Buffalo. Colorado not only won impressively against Colorado State in the opener, but they also easily covered the spread of being a seven point favorite by blasting the Rams 45-13.
As of publishing, no money line or game total has been set.
The last time the Huskers covered the spread was in last years road loss at Penn State. The Huskers were a 27 point road underdog and managed to lose by only 11 points. Nebraska finished last season a miserable 4-7 against the spread set by the Las Vegas casinos.
One other interesting thing of note, is that as of right now bettors who bet on the season win total for Nebraska will have to wait it out. If Nebraska does not schedule a 12th regular season contest, then anyone who bet on the season win total will get their money back.
Further, with one-week/eight-day rule, I'd presume refunds won't go until that period of time lapses. And to repeat, if you had a parlay hanging on Akron or Nebraska, should they not play in that timeframe, it reverts to one less team and the payout adjusts accordingly. @Covers— Patrick Everson (@Covers_Vegas) September 2, 2018
