The full Nebraska men’s basketball schedule was released to day with the final non conference opponents announced.
Wayne State College will be the Husker’s exhibition game this year. Nothing new there as they usually play someone who is in the area for the exhibition. After the exhibition they take on Mississippi Valley State and Southeastern Louisiana in the Hall of Fame Classic home games in Lincoln.
Seton Hall was announced earlier this year as our Gavitt Games opponent. Another strong Big East Team that made the NCAA Tournament in 2017-18. Missouri State and USC or Texas Tech were also announced last month for the Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City.
Nebraska plays Clemson again for the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The Tigers made the NCAA Sweet 16 last year and should help the Big Red prepare for conference play with starts briefly the following week.
After a two game conference break the Huskers stay in Lincoln for their annual bout with the Creighton Blue Jays. From there Nebraska heads north to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to take on former Big 12 Conference mates Oklahoma State. They then finish the non conference slate against NCAA Tournament team Cal State Fullerton and Southwest Minnesota State back home at Pinnacle. The full schedule is below.
This will be a fairly decent start to the season before the 20 game conference slate starts up. Seaton Hall, Clemson, and Cal State Fullerton should both push the Huskers talent wise and will tell us how well the Huskers will be set up for the long run this season. The Creighton game is still the one game that Tim Miles has yet to truly get of his back so expect a full and rowdy crowd in Lincoln that Night.
