*UPDATED SAT 4:14AM* Opening Weekend Recruiting Visits Feature Some Quality Talent

High Priority Recruits Will be in Lincoln This Weekend

Crootin

Fall camp has came and went; endless discussions on hype and blink rates have been furiously typed into the comments. It is time for football games again! And for us recruitniks, that means it is time for big recruiting visit weekends! Selling the game atmosphere at Memorial Stadium is one of the Husker’s strong points on the recruiting trail. The highest priority recruits will be brought in to experience the Tunnel Walk, fans clapping out of time to Sirius, and blue hairs yelling “Down in front!” There’s a nice, high quality list of visitors for the season opener.

Taiwan Mullen is a 4 star cornerback from Florida. The staff has been recruiting him since their UCF days. This guy’s a speedster, and he’s aggressive, too. He was a Pitt lean, then an Indiana lean, but has cooled on both schools. I expect him to commit to Nebraska, and before long.

Wandale Robinson is a 4 star all purpose back out of Frankfort KY. He’s being recruited by everyone, and wooed by their mothers. He’s electrifying, piling up over 300 yards in his season opener. With Ronald Thompkins having injured his ACL for the second time and Thomas Grayson decommitting, he has moved even higher up the Husker recruiting board.

Brant Banks, 3 star offensive lineman from Texas. The staff is recruiting him as a defensive end. He unofficially visited in June, and is back for another round. His top schools are Nebraska and Baylor. This guy is leaning N.

Bryce Benhart, 6-7 285lb 4 star offensive tackle, we’re fighting an uphill battle with Wisconsin for him. He needs a waiver from the NCAA to visit because his school doesn’t start until Sep 4. This guy’s so sexy it makes me sweat. Nothing turns me on like a road grading lineman, except for maybe a nose tackle highlight video! #sacksacksack

****update**** Bryce got the all-clear from the NCAA; he’s a go!

Some 2021 recruits are coming too. Hayden Conner and Bryce Foster, 4 star offensive linemen who are teammates at a school in Texas, are listed as visiting.

****update**** 3 star offensive lineman Dohnovan West, from Mission Hills, CA has just been announced as visiting. He has a strong offer list and likes his pancakes seasoned with extra field turf. Pulling linemen out of California has been tough. Let’s see how this plays out.

Speaking of linemen who can play o-line, Danielson Ike and Turner Corcoran are both making unofficial visits this weekend. Ike is a 4 star offensive tackle for Rockhurst in Kansas City, alma mater of Michael Rose-Ivey. Corcoran is a 2020 recruit, the #1 athlete in Kansas, and #85 athlete in the nation for 2020. I’m liking how the offensive line recruiting is trending.

2020 4 star wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba of Rockwall, TX is coming up to visit with Troy Walters. He hopes to make his commitment decision next summer. Getting in early on this talented recruit bodes well for the Huskers.

****Saturday morning update****

Brison Cobbins, running back from Missouri, will be at the game. This 5-8 172lb speedster has run a verified 4.37 40!

That’s all I have at the moment. This article will be updated as information becomes available.
