Nebraska Recruiting: LB Jackson Hannah Picks the Huskers

Talented Linebacker Prospect Chooses to go into the Nebraska Wilds

When I first heard Jackson Hannah had commited to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, I got a little confused. Although the animal science program is top notch, does the University even have a zoo? But then I thought, “Maybe the players are a bunch of filthy animals, and they need a zookeeper to get them in line?” Then I dug further.

Turns out it wasn’t this guy at all!

Jackson Hannah is a 6-3 220lb three star linebacker prospect out of Nashville, TN. He held an impressive array of offers, including Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, North Carolina, and others. He narrowed his list down to Arkansas, Cal and Nebraska then took visits. The Nebraska visit went swimmingly, and he made to call quickly to get his commitment out of the way before his senior season.

Hannah is a tough, physical linebacker. When he puts running backs on the ground, they stay there. He uses his hands well, showing a great swim move and spin move. He’s also not afraid to stand up a blocker and play 2 gap on running plays. His film showed a good nose for the ball, and good awareness of the line of scrimmage. Frost and Chinander love someone who plays with an edge, and Hannah delivers that in spades. I wasn’t impressed with his pass coverage, which is why he’s moving inside for his senior season, and how he’s being recruited by Nebraska. In the future, the one-two punch of Hannah and Omaha’s Nick Henrich will be unstoppable.

This recruiting stuff’s heating up a little bit, huh?

Welcome to the Husker family, Jackson! GBR!
