Great news from the land of medicinal marijuana! Nebraska has found a quarterback!
After much consideration, I am extremely blessed to announce that I am officially committed to The University of Nebraska! #GBR pic.twitter.com/BvYFUVTFDH

Luke McCaffrey, 6-3 185lb four star dual threat quarterback/athlete has committed to the Cornhuskers! McCaffrey is the progeny of athletic bluebloods: His dad Ed had a 13 year NFL career, his mother was a 3 year starter for Stanford soccer, his grandfather was an Olympic silver medalist, his oldest brother Max plays WR for the 49ers, he is also the younger brother of Michigan's Dylan McCaffrey, as well as former Stanford Cardinal and current Carolina Panther Christian McCaffrey. He is out of Littleton Colorado's Valor Christian Academy. He entertained offers from Michigan, Ohio State, Washington and UCLA among others. He was offered in March and made an unofficial visit in April. His recruitment didn't heat up, however, until QB coach Mario Verduzco went to Colorado and watched him throw. Then his commitment was pursued in earnest.
McCaffrey is an athletically gifted player that can use some time on the scout team to grow and develop. This is ideal for the Huskers, with a bevy of young, talented quarterbacks ahead of him on the roster. Nebraska also beat Michigan and Ohio State so they win the Big Ten.
Some may recall that older brother Christian had a pretty good outing against Iowa in the 2016 Rose Bowl. I’ll raise a glass in hopes that the next McCaffrey highlight video is versus Iowa as well.
