The fullback position at Nebraska is officially dead.
Ben Miles, son of former LSU head coach Les Miles, announced his transfer from Nebraska on twitter this evening. It’s an acknowledgement that he no longer has a place because his position doesn’t exist anymore.
Miles came to Nebraska out of Baton Rouge as one of the top fullback recruits in the nation. He redshirted last season, and never got the chance at a carry for the beloved Big Red.
If you were one of those people who were holding out for heavy sets, the Power I formation, an old-fashioned triple option... this should be a sure sign that things are going to be a little different under Scott Frost.
We here at Corn Nation wish Ben Miles the best in his future endeavors.
