Wide Receiver Keyan Williams to Transfer from Nebraska

Who is next?

The receiver room is a little small today after Keyan Williams, son of former wide receiver coach Keith Williams, has asked for and has been granted a scholarship release from the University of Nebraska.

As he said, it is 100% about football and likely will try and find a school where the chance to see the field is greater than it currently is with Nebraska. The wide receiver group is probably the deepest and most talented position group on the roster.

When Coach Frost brought in two juco WR’s (Jaron Woodyard and Mike Williams) then he is probably intending those two to play right away. Which means less time for Keyan.

From what I have seen Keith Williams and his family have been very gracious to the school even after getting fired. Good luck to Keyan and his dad wherever they go next.

The saddest part about this transfer is that Keith Williams will probably be leaving town sometime soon which means he and Steven Sipple won’t be able to get together to chow down on the bottomless fries from Red Robin anymore.
