After falling 9-1 in Friday’s opening contest, the Nebraska Baseball team looks to take down Wichita State and even the series at one game a piece. Nate Fisher (0-1, 5.14) will get his second start of the season for the Huskers while Liam Eddy (2-0, 1.42) gets the start for the Shockers.

The Shockers used a pair of grand slams in Friday’s contest to make the score look more lopsided then it actually was. Luis Alvarado gave up the one mistake to Mason O’brien that ended up over the right field wall for a grand slam. Keegan Watson loaded the bases in the seventh and Andrew Abrahamowicz gave up a towering grand slam to Alec Bohm.

Besides the two grand slams, the teams were fairly even, except for the fact that when Nebraska had runners on, they continued to struggle to hit. The Huskers went 0-11 with runners in scoring position and 2-18 with runners on base. Nebraska needs to start finding the key hits, or it could be a long long season.
