Minnesota (15-9) at Nebraska (13-10)
Sunday, March 25 • 2 p.m. (CT)
Hawks Field at Haymarket Park - Lincoln, Neb.
TV: Big Ten Network • Radio: HSN
Matt Warren (3-0) vs. Patrick Fredrickson (2-0)
Afte rsplitting the first two games in their series, the Nebraska Baseball team loosk to continue their Sunday undefeated streak and clinch their opening Big Ten series against the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
Matt Warren gets the ball for the Huskers, while Patrick Fredrickson gets the ball for Minnesota. Warren and Fredrickson are both undefeated to start the season.
Warren has looked good at the beginning of his starts recently, but seems to struggle when he gets into the fourth and fifth innings. Nebraska has not used much of its bullpen this weekend, being able to save Jake Hohensee the first two days. If Warren can get the Huskers five innings, Nebraska could be in good shape.
Fredrickson did the rare double duty last weekend, pitching in both games of a doubleheader against TCU. Fredrickson allowed the walk off hit in the Gophers first game, before starting the second and throwing five scoreless innings. Fredrickson averages a strikeout per inning, and looks the part of a top 200 freshman recruit.
Elite Eight
I stopped paying attention when Purdue lost to Texas Tech. I honestly could not care less about Villanova or Texas Tech. Who even is playing in the second game? OH! Duke and Kansas. One team that has a whiny point guard, and another that lost to Nebraska. Better yet it is in Omaha. Why don’t we just put Nebraska in the final four.
