After a split in a midweek road series, the Nebraska Baseball team (12-9) returns home to open Big Ten play against the Minnesota Golden Gophers (14-8). Nebraska and Minnesota last faced each other last year with the Huskers winning two of three from the Gophers in Minneapolis.

Nebraska will send Luis Alvarado, Matt Waldron, and Matt Warren out for the three game set. Waldron gets the place of Nate Fisher who started and pitched well in the midweek contest against Oral Roberts.
The Huskers will see Reggie Meyer today. Meyer is just 1-2 this season while having an ERA of 3.38. He threw 3.2 innings last year against Nebraska, allowing just a pair of hits while giving up no runs.
