Nebraska Spring Game Sold Out... But Not Everyone Is Happy About It

Everyone is anxious to see Scott Frost’s debut, but not everyone will get the chance.

The 2018 Nebraska Red-White Spring game has sold out. While there has been no official release as of yet from the Nebraska athletic department, the following tweet from the @huskers official account is good enough:

If you care to read the twitter thread about the sell out, you’ll find that not everyone is happy about it. Apparently season ticket holders were given early access to tickets and could buy up to 20 tickets per household.

It is the first sell out of a spring game in Nebraska history, beating the old scrimmage record crown of just over 80,000, set at Bo Pelini’s first spring game in 2008.

Tickets had only just gone on sail Tuesday morning with more than 57,000 purchased yesterday. The remainder were bought today... although it’s not 100% clear by whom. Perhaps organizations who wished to purchase tickets for their employees. Perhaps by Russians, wishing to meddle in college football.

You can still get a spring game ticket if you want one. They’re available on Stubhub, going anywhere from $40 to several hundred dollars.

Vivid Seats sent me an email pointing out that they, too, have tickets available for the spring game... so here you go!
